What do we need?
It costs in excess of £20,000 per year to run the counselling centre in Luton. This includes rent, rates, advertising, client support, utility bills, etc.
Where do our funds come from?
Ultimately, our funds come from those involved in the work and from the Catholic Community we serve.
How do we generate our funding?
Standing Orders
By far the biggest share of our funding comes from standing orders. This provides a solid base of funding to ensure stability in our income
If you would like to set up a standing order in favour of Luton Good Counsel you can download a form here.
Donations
Donations, some regular, some ad-hoc, are a sizeable proportion of our income. One supporter would look out for dropped coins in his relatively small village, then send us a cheque about twice a year, usually for a surprisingly large sum! If you want to send a donation our address is:

Appeals
We make regular appeals in parishes in Luton and around Northampton diocese. We also visit a few parishes in Westminster diocese. Our aim is not simply to attract funding but also to inform members of the Church about the real issues we see every day concerning abortion and its aftermath. We also seek the prayer support of parishes we visit. Would your parish priest allow us to make an appeal in your parish? We’d be very glad to hear. Our contact details can be found here.
Blue Boxes
Originally we intended to distribute only a few boxes amongst those involved in the work. We have now given out thousands, and the pennies, five and ten pence pieces (and some bigger denominations!) they contain bring in a healthy addition to our funds. If you have a Blue Box at home and it needs to be emptied, please call us. If you would like one of our Blue Boxes for your home, our contact details are here.
